The Bachelor Party: Dave & Buster’s

Hot dogs consumed, we were back to — you guessed it — libations! Indeed, the first place we headed to was the bar, and yet, we all retained our mental faculties. Perhaps it was all of the pizza we ate during the preface to our night, perhaps it was Pink’s, but we all held our liquor down through the fourth stop.

Upon securing a tall glass of Blue Moon on tap, the gents and I proceeded to undertake a series of competitive challenges throughout the arena. Ranging from basketball, baseball, and 4-way air-hockey, to a type of beer pong game, arcade Mario Kart, and even a fully immersive Jurassic World VR vehicle-machine, Dave & Buster’s was an absolute home run of testosterone-induced, exciting, brotherly fun!

As we wrapped up our time at this next-level arcade, we had to redeem our tickets. However, selecting a prize was a challenge in itself. Naturally, the gents wanted me to choose a ridiculous necklace to secretly wear during the wedding. Unfortunately for them, I was nowhere near intoxicated enough to agree to such nonsense. Instead, I choose a prize worthy of a champion, one of elegance, one that commands respect: a stuffed toy — and gummy bears.

The night was coming to a close. The bachelor party had been, by all intents and purposes, a resounding success! We departed the premises and headed downstairs towards the Walk of Fame, and just at that moment, we decided the night was not quite over yet.

Tell me, when was the last time you went to an arcade? Would you rather play sports or video games? Are you a competitive player?

      1. Hahaha 😂 I remember the night — well enough to document it too! 😄 It would have likely been years since the days of libation-induced memory lapses, not that they ever took place to begin with. 😉

    1. Thank you for your comment! It was indeed lots of fun! You should! Specially now that there are arcades designed for adults. I’m not sure why people ever thought that arcades should only be for children. Haha
